Scindia effect-Congress appointed Delhi and Karnataka unit Presidents

Congress has appointed Delhi and Karnataka unit Presidents. In a press communiqué by K.C. Venugopal, General Secretary AICC, Anil Chaudhary has been appointed as Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President and DK Shivakumar is Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President.

As per the orders Eashwar Khandra, Satish Jharkiholi, Saleem Ahammed are appointed as Working Presidents of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.

Along with this, Congress president also approved the proposal of the appointment of M Narayanswamy, MLC as Chief Whip for Indian National Congress in Karnataka Legislative Council & Ajay Singh, MLA as Chief Whip for Indian National Congress in Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

Siddaramaiah, former chief Minister will continue as the CLP leader and Leader of Opposition.

“The party appreciates the contribution of outgoing PCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao” said the communiqué.

Scindia effect-Congress appointed Delhi and Karnataka unit Presidents. The party has also appointed five Vice Presidents in  Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee namely Abhishek Dutt, Jaikishan, Mudit Agarwal, Ali Hassan, Shivani Chopra.

Earlier, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Subhash Chopra resigned from the post after the Delhi poll debacle in February, this year and Shakti Sinh Gohil was appointed the interim AICC in-charge of Delhi along with his present assignment of Bihar.

DK Shivakumar is front runner for the post Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President, but was delayed by the party high command, due to political reasons. But today he is appointed as the state Congress president.
