Short of leaders,SAD fielded Husband Wife duo from Ferozepur, Bathinda

With short of leaders, hope to win maximum seats for NDA from Punjab  the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) finally toady announced its decision to field party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal fom the Ferozepur seat while his wife and Union minister and sitting Bathinda Member Parliament Harsimrat Kaur Badal has been again nominated from the Bathinda seat.

The announcement was made by party patron and Akali stalwart and former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at a press conference .

Sukhbir Singh Badal, currently MLA from Jalalabad seat, which is a part of Ferozepur Parliamentary seat , who is also a  party chief, will be facing Akali rebel and Congress nominee Sher Singh Ghubaya from Ferozepur seat. While Harsimrat Kauar Badal, two time MP from Bathinda will face Congress nominee Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, PDA nominee Sukhpal Singh Khaira ,AAP nominee  Baljinder Kaur from  Bathinda Lok Sabha seat

Sukhbir is contesting Lok Sabha elections after a gap of 20 years . He had last contested Lok Sabha polls in 1999 from the Faridkot seat.

Both Ferozepur and Bathinda have been traditional strongholds of SAD-BJP.
