Special lecture on the occasion of establishment of Kirat Club at Khalsa College Patiala

Kirat Club comprising 550 students has been established to commence the series of programs to be organised at the special occasion of 550 birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. A special lecture on the ideal life in the bani of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was also organised.
College Principal Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha said that the aim of organising this club is to spread the message of ‘Kirat Karo, Naam Japo, Vand Chhako’, The students will be taught to stay connected with the culture and heritage of Punjab. Dr. Dilver Singh, Additional Director, Youth Welfare Department, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, addressed the students and said that the philosophy of Gurmat teaches the welfare of whole humanity and right way of living. In the present materialistic world, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings show the way of peace and brotherhood. Dr. Gurveer Singh, Head, Department of Religions Studies welcomed the guests and Dr. Devinder Singh, Convener of the club presented vote of thanks.
