Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University appointed new Dean Academic Affairs

Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Billing has been appointed as Dean Academic Affairs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University (SGGSWU) an institution of the Sikh Panth. He is also serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics and also as Dean of the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences. Prof. Billing academic field is pure mathematics, in which he earned a Ph.D. from SLIET, Longowal.
He is contributing immensely in the field of research and has published more than seventy research papers in various foreign international research journals. He has also received the “Young Scientist” award for his research in the field of mathematics. It is hoped that with this appointment, the University will reach new heights in the field of academics and research.

SGGSWU Fatehgarh Sahib, a project undertaken by the SGPC is a missionary, charitable and humanitarian institution, seeks to impart inclusive education to learners from all creeds, castes and religions.Parkash Singh Badal, the former Chief Minister had announced during fourth centenary celebrations of the installation of Sri Adi Granth at Golden Temple that a university dedicated to the ideals enshrined in Sri Guru Granth Sahib would be established. His dream reached fruition when the Punjab Legislative Assembly passed SGGSWU Act (Punjab State Act 20/2008) and the SGGSWU commenced its first academic session in July 2011. The University has also secured the membership of AIU (Association of Indian Universities)
