Dr. Nanak Singh, SSP, Bathinda visited the Guru Gobind Singh Refinery today and met with the Senior Management of HMEL. A S Basu, Head of Refinery Operations, HMEL, welcomed him and gave an overview of the Guru Gobind Singh Refinery Infrastructure. Krishan Tuteja, VP-Operations, HMEL and Ashok Kumar, VP-Human Leadership apprised Dr. Nanak regarding various ongoing projects.

He was given a detailed presentation by the HMEL Security Team regarding the state-of–the-art security and disaster management systems. He took a round of the refinery and also understood regarding the ongoing petrochemical project. He was impressed with the latest security and safety norms being followed at HMEL. He assured his full cooperation in smooth and uninterrupted operations of the Refinery.

Guru Gobind Singh Refinery (GGSR) is a refinery owned by Hindustan Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) a joint venture between HPCL and Mittal Energy Limited, a company owned by L N Mittal (HMEL). It is located in village Phulokhari, Bhatinda, Punjab, India. Fifth biggest refinery in India.

The refinery will get its crude oil supply from Mundra a coastal town in Gujarat through a 1,017 km pipeline, where the oil is imported from abroad
