“The Road Ahead for Next 25 years of Indian Science and Technology” discussed at GNDU

Second last day of the weeklong celebration “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate” at Guru Nanak Dev University was themed around “The Road Ahead for Next 25 years of Indian Science and Technology”.

The event included an expert lecture by Prof. R.C. Singh, Honorary Professor, Department of Physics, GNDU. In his address to the audience Prof. Singh talked about various inventions and technologies which have made an impact on the humanity. “Science which is being used to harm the human race and nature is not true science.” emphasised Prof. Singh.

He gave a long list of Indian Scientists and inventions who have contributed to the scientific endgndueavours worldwide. An Idea Pitching Declamation SCI-VISION, was organised for the students, in which young minds from schools and colleges presented their perspective of the future of Science and Technology in India in coming 25 years.

The judges of the competition Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur, Dr. Gurbir Singh, Dr. Priya Uppal,  Gasha and  Yatin Batra congratulated all the participants. Through these competitions, students from various institutions were given a platform to showcase their knowledge, confidence, and power of expression.

The celebrations were coordinated by Dr. Bindiya Arora (Local Coordinator), Dr. Aman Mahajan(Co-Coodinator) along with student coordinators Samreet, Diksha, Pratiksha, Dilpreet, Nikhita, Love Jasrai,Sukriti, Deepanshu, Naresh, Namit, Sukhveer and Sukhjinder.
