TSPL organized ‘Blood Donation Camp’ on World Health Day

Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), the largest thermal power plant in Punjab, organized a blood donation camp at TSPL premises in association with Blood Bank, Mansa on World Health Day 7th April 2022. The blood donation camp was set up in line with this year’s theme of ‘Our Planet, Our health’ across all the business units of Vedanta group in India, Africa & the middle east. The camp received overwhelming response from the volunteers contributing 67 units for Mansa Blood Bank.

Dr. Babita, In Charge – Blood Bank, Mansa said “Volunteers from TSPL have always been a major contributor for our Blood bank. It is extremely heartening to see volunteers waiting for their turn to contribute for the noble cause. I take this opportunity to thank TSPL management for this camp and for various health initiatives ensuring quality health care for the communities in the vicinity.”

Speaking about the importance of health care and TSPL’s intervention in the area,  Pankaj Sharma,COO – TSPL said, “The significance of good health & immunity was demonstrated on a global scale during the previous years of the pandemic. Having a comprehensive health ecosystem is a critical need for the nation. TSPL’s health initiative-SEHAT (Safe & Effective Health Action by TSPL) is supporting PHC Behniwal ensuring quality healthcare for all. We hope that this blood donation camp will go a long way in saving lives.”
