TSPL supports police administration in anti drug awareness campaign

As a responsible corporate citizen Talwandi Sabo Power Plant is incessantly working towards social economic development of local community and people at large. 26th June is observed as international day against drug abuse worldwide. On the occasion TSPL supported the anti drug campaign conducted by Mansa Police administration under the guidance of Dr. Narinder Bhargav SSP, Mansa, to create awareness among the youth and people on perils of drug addiction.
An anti-drug awareness session was conducted by the police personnel for youth and drivers stressing upon the need to shun drugs for a healthy and fulfilling life. Pamphlets and flyers were distributed for wide outreach.
Vikas Sharma, CEO and WTD, said, “The youth are the future of our nation and of this great state of Punjab. We, at TSPL, remain committed to fostering a physically and mentally strong and vibrant community driven by the energy that our youth bring. We need to protect and educate our youth against menaces such as substance abuse for their own wellbeing as well as so that they contribute constructively to towards nation building.”
Accompanying Avtar Singh, ASI, Behniwal Chowki, Amarjeet Singh, SHO Mansa Sadar, stressing upon the need to educate youth on this topic said, “The youth of Punjab is our greatest strength and it is our utmost responsibility to ensure their health and well being. This initiative is a small step in the direction of protecting our youth from the menace of substance abuse.”
TSPL supports police administration in anti drug awareness campaign. Several employees of TSPL participated in the campaign along with the entire security staff of the power plant and its business partner STEAG to propagate awareness on drug abuse and shared details on where people may reach out for help.
