Today Uttar Pradesh police has arrested the main accused Ashish Mishra son of union minister of state from home Ajay Mishra Teni in a road rage case of Lakhimpur Kheri ,in which four farmers and a farmers journalist and three other persons were killed and many injured on Sunday. Meanwhile, the UP Police has already arrested two accents in the case- Luvkush and Ashish Pandey.
The UP police have filed a case of murder against Ashish Mishra and arrested him after investigating for around 12 hours. Though the Union Minister’s son admits the SUV that ran over farmers belongs to him, but he maintains he was not in it.
DIG Upendra Agarwal, confirmed that he was arrested as he was not cooperating during the interrogation and didn’t answer few questions. He will be produced before the court.
The FIR registered on the complaint of one Jagjit Singh says that Ashish was in the Thar Mahindra SUV that mowed down farmers killing one on the spot on October 3, and that he also escaped into sugarcane fields firing shots.

According to FIR lodged by UP Police, Union MoS Home Ajay Mishra’s son and 15-20 unidentified accused have been booked under sections 120B (when two or more persons agree to commit an offence), 147 (Whoever is guilty of rioting, ), 148 (Rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 149 (Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object.), 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) , 302 (Punishment for murder), 304A (Whoever causes the death of any person by doing any rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide) and 338 (Causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC.
