A training was conducted today at committee hall of District Administrative Complex Patiala to sensitize operators/ supervisors about the latest UIDAI guidelines on quality parameters& latest software. Total 76 Supervisors/operators & Master trainers from Seva Kendras, Department of Posts & Banks attended the training session.

To ensure data quality, UIDAI, RO- Chandigarh, keeps on organizing training session for operators of Seva Kendra’s/ Departments of Posts & Banks on regular basis so as to minimize the rejection rate & so Public grievances. Imparting the training exhorted all the participants to ensure Aadhaar operators working in various Aadhaar kendras in the district to work as per stipulated guidelines laid by UIDAI. The training focused on quality norms to be followed while doing Aadhaar enrollment/update. “Correct capturing of data following the prescribed norms of UIDAI will prevent any kind of inconvenience to residents. Wrong data capturing leads to rejection of enrollment.

Aadhaar enrollment is free of cost for New Aadhaar enrollment & Bio metric update for children at age of 5 years and 15 years being mandatory.  For doing any updation/ correction in Name, Date of Birth, address, mobile number or change in photograph, updation of bio metrics convenience fee of Rs 50 (including GST) is charged.

Aadhaar is a unique lifelong identity, which is available free of cost and any individual irrespective of age and gender and who is a resident in India and satisfies the verification process laid down by the UIDAI, can enroll for Aadhaar on a voluntary basis anywhere in the country.

The official said,UIDAI organizes training for Aadhaar operators/supervisors at Patiala and in case any Aadhaar operator is charging more fees from resident than the prescribed fees, resident can lodge their complaint by calling 1947 (Toll Free) or may file complaint at [email protected]
