Vigilance bureau demanded record of senior PPCB officer from its Chairman

Deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Vigilance bureau, Patiala range, has demanded a record, pertaining to complaint against a senior official of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB).

The vigilance bureau is investigating on a complaint filed against PPCB Member secretary, Er Krunesh Garg and demanded the records from the board chairman.

In a reminder sent to the Chairman of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), by the DSP Vigilance Bureau, Patiala range,  to send the required record pertaining to complaint against senior official, by July 11,2021 at the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (Vigilance Bureau), Patiala.

The bureau had already asked the PPCB officials vide letter dated 17-06-2021 and 21-6-2021 to submit the required record pertaining to the complaint against the senior functionary of the board, so that the ongoing investigation can be completed in time, without any further delay.

As per the vigilance bureau communique to the Chairman, PPCB, again on 28-6-2021, they demanded the total number of approvals given to the firms by the PPCB from May 2020 to May 2021. The bureau demanded the complete details of those firms with their contact numbers, contact persons, mobile number, case number, date of approval etc.

Vigilance bureau demanded record of senior PPCB officer from its Chairman. The bureau demanded the detail of officer who gave this approval to the cases, from May 2020 to May 2021.

The investigation agency has also demanded the details from the PPCB authorities, about the total number of cases for approval were received by the board. Out of these, how many cases were approved and how many cases were kept pending/ un approved and reason for their pendency/non-approval.

when contacted the chairman of Punjab Pollution Control Board, Prof SS Marwaha, he said, ” all the documents/ records demanded by the investigation agency, has been given to them.”
