First Women Journalist to head Patiala Media Club
Patiala-Patiala Media Club, a club of working journalist in Print Media, today created a history by electing a women journalist Gagan Kaur Teja as its President. She along with other 10 members of the Governing Coucil elected unopposed.She also became the first women President of any Media Club in Punjab
The election for the selection of new executive body started yesterday. For the 11 executive body posts 12 candidates filled their nomination papers. Today one candidate for the post of Joint Secy. Chianjiv Joshi withdraw his nomination papers and with this all the 11 candidates elected unopposed.

For the first time, the whole election process is video graphed. Returning officer, Ujaggar Singh former DPRO look after the whole election process. After the withdrawal of the paper by Chiranjiv Joshi, he declared the result. Later he congratulated the newly elected team and the whole members of Patiala Media Club for conducting the election process smoothly and electing the new body unopposed.
