World University English Deptt students organized Fresher’s party

The Department of English,Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University,Fathehgarh,has organised freshers party to welcome the new comers. PardeepKaur of B.A. Honours School in English 1st year was crowned as Miss Freshers and Lovejot Singh of M.A. English 1st year as Mr. Freshers.
KudratpreetKaur of B.A. Honours School in English 3rdyear and Sumanjeet Singh of M.A. 2nd year grabbed the titles of Miss Department and Mr. Department respectively.
Iram of B.A. Honours School in English 1st year was acclaimed as Miss Charming and ManjotKaur of ofB.A. Honours School in English 2nd year as Miss Graceful. The students incorporated cultural programmes, modeling and fun games to make the day eventful.
The Head of the Department, Dr. Swaraj Raj addressed the students. He congratulated the students and encouraged them to work on their overall personality development along with focusing on their studies. Nisha Kapoor from the Department of Journalism, Manpreet Kaur from the Department of Punjabi, Manisha from the Department of Botany and Rajanpreet Kaur from the Department of Agriculture were the judges for the occasion.
The faculty of the Department- AnkdeepKaur, JaspreetKaur, BaljeetKaurAnand, ManjinderKaur, Manpreet Singh, AmandeepKaur, Jaskirat Kaur, RavneetKaur, Simranpreet Kaur and Narinder Singh graced the party with their presence.
