On the direction of Punjab Youth Congress President Brindar Singh Dhillon, Youth Congress workers led by District Rupnagar President Dr. Achhar Sharma protested against the case  registered by Punjab Police against Congress leader Alka Lamba ,at local Bela Chowk.

An effigy of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also burnt by the protesters. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Achhar Sharma said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has become a puppet in the hands of Arvind Kejriwal sitting in Delhi. The AAP supremo is misusing the Punjab police for political vendetta. False charges are being filed to silence their political opponents.

He said that no outsider can understand the culture of Punjab. The people of Punjab respect their daughters and sisters while these outsiders are dragging their daughters and sisters into police stations and courts. Punjabis will never tolerate bullying of a woman by misusing Punjab Police.

Surprisingly, the FIR filed. 10 days ago has not been posted online yet,he said .The protesters demanded immediate cancellation of the case filed against Alka Lamba and Kumar Vishwas and warned to intensify the struggle.

Sarabjit Singh MC, District Vice President Sanjeev Pandit and Parvesh Soni, Amit Kapoor, Harpreet Dhamrait, Puneet Bhalwan, Rupesh Sikka Block President Rupnagar NSUI, Ashwani Kumar and Vicky Majara District General Secretary Youth Congress, Satnam Singh Youth President Rupnagar Constituency  ,Daksh Kakkar, Satnam Mukari, Rajan Surewal, Ashu Jindwari,Lakha were present on the occasion.
