YPS Patiala holds Investiture Ceremony 2018-2019
The Investiture Ceremony of Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, for the appointment of the new Prefectorial Body for the Academic session 2018-19 was held on Monday, March 12. The ceremony marks the swearing – in and the formal handing over the charge to the new incumbents.
The institution of the Prefectorial Body is a unique and healthy practice followed by public schools, where in the appointees help and assist in a more seamless and smoother conduct of the school affairs- activities and functions- and in maintenance of the school decorum.
The Ceremony, besides the staff and students, was also attended by parents.
The ceremony began with school prayer song. The School Director Maj.Gen Sanjiv Varma appointed Mehakdeep Singh as the Head Boy, Chhavi Kohli as the Head Girl by handing over the ceremonial batch. The Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, House Captains and Prefects were also sworn-in on the occasion.
The oath was administered by the school Director where in they promised to lead the school and the houses, keeping in mind the spirit of competition and fairness. The Director congratulated the students and exhorted them to become better leaders for tomorrow.
