Blossoms Sr Secondary School celebrated its 37^th Annual Sports

Blossoms Senior Secondary School Patiala celebrated its 37^th Annual Sports Meet for two days on 14^th and 15^th December 2018. D.K. Rathore, Dronocharya Awardee, Chief Coach and Academic in-charge of Netaji Institute of Sports (NIS) Patiala graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Sant Chahal Trustee of the school formally welcomed and highlighted the class X/XII C.B.S.E. board result of the school.

The programme began with lamp lightening and balloon releasing ceremony by the Trustees followed by the school song.  The March-Past by four houses with the special NCC contingent of 4 pb girls and 5 pb boys battalion.

The students showed their skill and coordination in Dumble display.  Taekwondo was the centre of attraction of the function with half punch, lower cut single punches, marble breaking with head and punch.

The students participated in their respective sport events and races with full verve and vigour  in different  races such as  under the table race, zig zag race, obstacle race , chatti race , lemon and spoon race etc.

The winners of the events were awarded with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals by the Chief Guest, who highly appreciated and applauded the visionary element of the school which nurture and develops their potential in the sports field.

Mrs. Ravi Singh, Trustee briefed the parents about the future plans of the school. Specially she mentioned about the plans of International trip to NASA that includes visit to Kennedy Space Centre, Boston, New York, Niagara Falls and Disney Land.  School activities for the session 2017-18  was read out by the students.

The function concluded with amalgamation of dances depicting the different culture of India  with the theme “Unity in Diversity” . It was highly appreciated by all.

The following students were awarded the Medals and Trophies: –

1. Maharani Preneet Kaur Silver medal (for all rounder) – Amita Verma
2. Blossoms School Silver Medal (for best academic performance) For class XII – Tanvir Singh Bal.
3. Major BSS Bedi Memorial Silver Medal (for outstanding performance) For Class class X – Deepanshi Garg
4. Harmanvir Singh Memorial Silver Medal (for best performer of the year) Khushpreet Kaur
5. G.S. Dhillon memorial running trophy (for best sportsman)-Ramanjeet Singh.
6. Jasdeep Singh student of class XII was honoured for his exceptional performance in the field of Gymnast at District, State and National level.

Inter-House Trophy for the best performance for the session 2017-18 was bagged by SILVER OAK House.

Bindu Vaid Principal of the school thanked the Chief Guest, Parents, Staff and the Students for their tireless efforts and support.
