Gems Public School ,Patiala celebrated its 2nd Annual Day amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation.
The luminaries include Harinderpal Singh, Incharge of Halka,Sanaur as the esteemed chief guest along with Ranjit Singh Nikra, Chairman of Anti Narcotic cell, director of Punjab Agro food corporation, Ashwini Kumar, block president of Sanaur, Dr.Gurmeet Singh ,Block president ,Bhunerkheri and Jagir Singh, Sarpanch Gangrola.
The programme commenced with the traditional ceremony of lamp lighting by all the dignitaries and the Principal, Dr.Manjari Tejpal .This entailed the presentation of bouquet and pinning of badges. Next, the principal formally welcomed the eminent guests and read the school annual report. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony where the dignitaries gave away with the prizes to the achievers of the school.
The Cultural programme based on the theme “ Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” commenced with a scintillating “Ganesh Vandana ,welcome song ,a famous play “ the pied piper of Hamelin” and other dance performances depicting on how the world is connected on a common platform of culture.
GATKA,a martial art form was a depiction of rich radiant and vibrant culture and eminence and the mark that Punjab has made over the country and the world. Yoga and Taekwondo by the ebullient students of the school were the major attractions of the event.
The chief guest motivated the student and urged to hone and sharpen their talents and potentials to not only carve a niche for themselves or bring laurels to the school but also aim to bring glory to their state as well as the nation.
