Govt school students given tips on Cleanliness

Bathinda-Under Mission Tandarust Punjab, the students of government schools were given information about proper ways of washing hands and cleanliness. Students of Government Senior Secondary School Village Bhagta and Kot Bakhtu asserted that they would adopt these good habits and also motivate people around them to follow the same.

At village Gehri Bhagi, block Sangat, the water supply and sanitation division number 1 conducted door to door campaign asking people not to waste water and telling them about the importance of water conservation. People were appealed to get taps as well as gate valves installed in every water connection so that wastage can be minimized and every house hold gets adequate supply of water.

The team from Municipal Corporation Bathinda visited Bangi Nagar wherein people were motivated not to defecate in open and not to burn garbage. Water Supply and Sanitation Department division number 1 organized awareness seminar for villagers of Jandwala, Tungwali and Pathrala residents on issue of water management. Also similar awareness camps were held for Anganwari workers and ASHA workers of village Gehri Bhagi, Mehta and Tungwali.

Nagar panchayat Bhai Rupa and mandi Kalan held cleanliness campaign in respective areas. Forest department distributed saplings at Buladewala, Teona, Naruana, Jhumba, Chughe Khurd, Baho yatri, Chughe Kalan, Sardargarh, Burj Mehma and Dyalpura and also tended the already existing plants. Sweeping was done at nagar panchayat Lehra Mohabbat ward number 4. At nagar panchayat Mehraj cleaning of parks, Kotli Bazar and public toilets was done. Pond at Nathana was also cleaned.

Maur police held special meeting with the chemists wherein they were asked not to sell medicines without doctor’s prescription slip. SHO Sadar conducted meeting with chemists of Balluana chemist association and asked them not to even sell syringes without due prescription for the same.

The youth services department held camp at Government Rajindra College and distributed T shirts regarding July 22 Walkathon Bathinda to be held at Rose Garden.
