National Youth Day was observed at D.A.V. Public school Bhupindra Road, Patiala, to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a well-known social reformer, philosopher, and thinker.
Principal S R Prabhakar, teachers along with students paid a floral tribute to this great visionary who is remembered for introducing Indian philosophies like Vedanta and Yoga to the western world.
Addressing the gathering Principal Prabhakar quoted Vivekananda -“Arise, Awake and stop not till the goal is achieved”and urged and motivated the students to imbibe the values given by Swami Vivekananda Ji. He further added that to reach zenith the students must follow his ideologies.
