Punjab govt declares holiday in Punjab on Sept 19

The Punjab government has announced Public holiday on September 19, in the state in view of the panchayat polls.
This step has been taken to facilitate the voters to exercise their right to vote, said an official communiqué.
As per the communiqué, all the government offices, boards corporations and educational institutes of the state and in Chandigarh will remain closed on that day.
