Special Executive Magistrates appointed to maintain Law
Karan Avtar Singh, Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab, exercising his power conferred by section 21 of the Code of the criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act No. 2 of 1974), the Governor of Punjab has appointed the Gazzetted officers drawing the grade pay of 50000 and above as Executive Magistrates to be known as Special Executive Magistrates for the maintenance of law and order up to 3-4-2018 for the District in which they are posted, with immediate effect.
These orders were came to maintain the law and order, due to the bandh call given by some SC/ST organisations.
